Hello! Fire and violent intruder drills will happen today at 1. Here's what we'll do:

Everyone in all grades meet in the main commons at 1 and we will quickly talk through what the drills will be and why we're doing them. Students will then go to their advisories and teachers will watch the chat. I will post "Secure" and students will need to be quiet and that's about it. I will then post "Lockdown" and students will need to hide out of sight of the window/s. Lock your classroom door if you can. I don't want people moving furniture around unnecessarily, but talk through with your class what furniture you might move to block the door if you had to. 

Once you've signaled on the chat that students have successfully hidden, we will move on to the fire drill. This will go as normal. I will post "Fire" on the chat and students will leave by the designated door and meet up on the grassy area near the swings. Please point out to your advisory where they would go in the event of an evacuation (Jewel Heart).

Once we're finished with the drills we can move on to the Town Hall meeting and Fun Friday. The whole thing shouldn't take more than 10 minutes.
